Wesley International Academy’s Yingli Zhang was recently named the Georgia Chinese Language Educator’s (GCLE) 2015 Teacher of the Year. Voted upon by the GCLE’s general membership, Ms. Zhang was selected out of a corps of impressive finalists.
Ms. Zhang, who is a founding teacher at Wesley International Academy, in her 8th year, teaches a range of grades from elementary to middle school. Of her selection, Ms. Zhang says, “I feel honored and humbled to be recognized by GCLE. I am also grateful to be a part of the Wesley team.”
Ms. Zhang holds degrees from Kyoto Institute of Technology and Western International University. She and her husband live in Peachtree City, Georgia and have a daughter who is a freshman at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
The GCLE is a non-political, non-profit, educational organization for Pre-K through university-level Chinese language and culture educators in the state of Georgia. Their mission is to promote high-quality Chinese language education through, among other things, providing a central hub for information regarding Chinese language instruction, cultural and other educational events in the area, and relevant professional opportunities
