YCT

The WIA Chinese department participated in its first YCT (Youth Chinese Test) pilot program in 2011. It is a standardized international Chinese proficiency test which is directed at examining non-native primary and secondary school students’ ability to apply Chinese language in their studies and daily lives. It primarily consists of two independent parts: listening and reading comprehension. As students progress to the higher level, the other two aspects of the language, speaking and writing, will be included into the assessment.
